The waterfall tour continued with a coffee break at Tad Fane. Tad Fane is the tallest waterfall on the loop and it's a beautiful little spot, however there isn't much to do other than sit around eating and drinking, as the falls are not actually accessible. But a lot has changed in the nearly 10 years since we were last here. It looks like they have a zipline now! And you can even have coffee on a zipline above the falls! Exciting!

Our final waterfall of the day was Tad E-Tu. The guesthouse here looked really nice! We were almost sorry that we weren't spending the night, as it looked like such a quiet and relaxing spot. However, our plan was to overnight in Champasak so we could checkout Wat Phu -- the UNESCO World Heritage site -- in the morning. So we had to make do with a short walk to the falls, then back on the bike and on to the river crossing. |

![]() | I don't know what I was imagining when Miss Noy told us there was a ferry to take the boats across the river, but it wasn't this! The boat was small! It was literally just big enough for us, our bike and the boatman! But we made it in one piece and were in Champask in no time at all! |
We arrived too late in the day to do much on our first day in Champasak, but we did check out a nice little temple on top of a hill: Phou Ngoi Temple. |

We had a pleasant meal on the terrace of our guesthouse, overlooking the river. This was also our best night's sleep on the loop! The guesthouse that we were at no longer seems to be in operation, but there are so many options that look just as nice, right on the river! You can take your pick as you head south from the ferry terminal!
